Twenty-two teams accepted invitations to participate in the 2010 Tour de France. Sixteen of the teams were covered by a September 2008 agreement with the Union Cycliste Internationale, including two no longer part of the UCI ProTour. The sixteen teams were:

  • Team HTC-Columbia
  • Team Milram
  • Team Saxo Bank

Six other teams, including the four ProTour teams not guaranteed a place, accepted their invitations:

  • Team Sky
