- The #31 Jeff Burton car owned by Richard Childress Racing raced without AT&T logos after NASCAR won an appeal filed in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia. That reversed an earlier decision that favored AT&T on behalf of its AT&T Mobility division. The original injunction was issued by the United States District Court in May. NASCAR has wanted to preserve brand exclusivity in the cellular telephone service category for the series' primary sponsor, Sprint Nextel.
