2007 Masters (snooker)
The 2007 SAGA Insurance Masters professional non-ranking snooker tournament was held from January 14 to January 21, 2007 in the Wembley Arena, London. It was the 33rd edition of the tournament. In a slight change for 2007, there were 19 competitors, as opposed to 18 up until 2006. The top 16 seeds for ranking events were automatically invited, while the other players entered a qualifying tournament for the right to one of three wildcard places. The two remaining places were granted by the game's governing body at their discretion, to Jimmy White and Ding Junhui. Stuart Bingham won the qualifying tournament.
It was won by Ronnie O'Sullivan, who defeated Ding Junhui 10–3 in the final.

Famous quotes containing the word masters:
“The President has paid dear for his White House. It has commonly cost him all his peace, and the best of his manly attributes. To preserve for a short time so conspicuous an appearance before the world, he is content to eat dust before the real masters who stand erect behind the throne.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
