2002 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2002 IIHF World U20 Championship, commonly referred as the 2002 World Junior Hockey Championships (2002 WJHC), was the 26th edition of the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The tournament was held in Pardubice and Hradec Králové, Czech Republic from December 25, 2001 – January 4, 2002.
Russia won the gold medal with a 5–4 come-from-behind victory over Canada in the championship game, while Finland won the bronze medal with a 5–1 victory over Switzerland.
