  • 1 January - The display of cigarette packets in advertisements are banned by the Malaysian federal government.
  • March - The 1995 General Elections.
  • April-December - The Sumur City Aerospace Adventure exhibition is held in Sumur City, Shah Alam.
  • March - The skybridge of the Petronas Twin Towers is opened to public.
  • June - Proton Perdana, Malaysia's first luxury cars is launched.

  • 1 July - MetroVision it was national second private commercial terrestrial television channel in Malaysia was launched grand opened inaugurated officially by Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and broadcasts from Kuala Lumpur. This broadcast area was only limited to Klang Valley area, officially began transmissions after 14 days, 12 months of trial of broadcasters a subsidiary of TV3 was owner by STMB.
  • 29 November - Sabah Air Helicopter that brought 11 Petronas Worker crash at Samarang Sea around 10.30am on Wednesday
  • 12 December - The STAR Light Rail Transit (LRT) (Light Rail Transit) began operations in Kuala Lumpur. It was the first LRT system in the city.
