Playoffs
The Giants finished the regular season having committed an NFL record low 14 turnovers, and their defense led the league in fewest points allowed (211). Following the season, six Giants—defensive lineman Erik Howard, center Bart Oates, offensive guard William Roberts, linebackers Pepper Johnson and Lawrence Taylor, and special teamer Reyna Thompson—were selected to the Pro Bowl.
