1962 NSWRFL Season
1962's New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership was the fifty-fifth season of the rugby league competition based in Sydney. Ten teams from across the city competed for the J J Giltinan Shield and WD & HO Wills Cup during the season, which culminated in a replay of the previous year's grand final between St. George and Western Suburbs.
The 1962 season was also the last in the playing career of future Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame inductee, Brian Carlson.
Famous quotes containing the word season:
“Much poetry seems to be aware of its situation in time and of its relation to the metronome, the clock, and the calendar. ... The season or month is there to be felt; the day is there to be seized. Poems beginning When are much more numerous than those beginning Where of If. As the meter is running, the recurrent message tapped out by the passing of measured time is mortality.”
—William Harmon (b. 1938)
