The Winnipeg 'Pegs (soon to be known as the Blue Bombers in 1936) became the first Western Canadian team to win the Grey Cup by defeating the Hamilton Tigers, 18–12, in Hamilton.

The Calgary franchise became known as the "Bronks".

Intercollegiate Rugby Football Union returns to play for the Grey Cup for one more season.
