12 Yard Productions is a British television production company, founded by David Young and specialising in the game show genre. Its productions have included In It To Win It, Eggheads, Coach Trip, The Rich List, Holding Out For A Hero, Don't Blow the Inheritance and the critically acclaimed Without Prejudice?. Many of 12 Yard's game shows are structured so that the contestants spend much of the show either gaining advantages or banking potential prize money ahead of a final endgame. In recognition of this, the company takes its name from the distance of the penalty spot from the goal in football.
On 5 December 2007, it was confirmed that ITV plc had acquired 12 Yard Productions for £35million.
