Famous quotes containing the words patch, london and/or adventure:

    Imperious Caesar, dead and turned to clay,
    Might stop a hole to keep the wind away.
    O that that earth which kept the world in awe
    Should patch a wall t’expel the winter’s flaw!
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    At length they all to merry London came,
    To merry London, my most kindly nurse,
    That to me gave this life’s first native source;
    Though from another place I take my name,
    An house of ancient fame.
    Edmund Spenser (1552?–1599)

    There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won’t.
