Languages
Most of the people living in Zanskar speak Zanskari, which is closely related to Ladakhi, and can communicate in Hindi or Urdu. Monks who have studied outside of Zanskar may know Tibetan, and some Zanskaris know enough English to be able to communicate with tourists.
