The World Trade Centre Montreal (in French, Centre de Commerce mondial de Montréal) is a building located in the Quartier international district of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Completed in 1992 by the architectural firm Arcop, the 10-storey complex is known for its architecture, including a large glassed-in atrium, formerly Fortification Lane. The complex includes other historic elements:

The Centre is connected to Montreal's underground city and to Square-Victoria metro station.

Famous quotes containing the words world, trade and/or centre:

At present, man applies to nature but half his force. He works on the world with his understanding alone. He lives in it, and masters it by a penny-wisdom; and he that works most in it, is but a half-man, and whilst his arms are strong and his digestion good, his mind is imbruted, and he is a selfish savage.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

My own experience has been that the tools I need for my trade are paper, tobacco, food, and a little whisky.
    William Faulkner (1897–1962)

A toddling little girl is a centre of common feeling which makes the most dissimilar people understand each other.
George Eliot [Mary Ann (or Marian)
