Wisconsin Point is a peninsula off the shore of Superior, Wisconsin, in Douglas County, Wisconsin. It is 3 miles in length. The Wisconsin Point Lighthouse was built in 1913 and is located on the end of the peninsula. It is owned and maintained by the city of Superior. Other notable features of Wisconsin Point include a Native American burial ground, extensive beaches and vistas of the city of Duluth, Minnesota, and a diverse forest and lagoon ecosystem. It is well known as a hotspot for birding during the Spring and Fall migrations, where ducks, shorebirds, gulls, hawks, and numerous songbirds such as warblers, finches, and sparrows can be seen.
