Facilities
The station platforms are constructed of timber, the lightweight construction being to reduce strain on the embankment where the line crosses the Loddon Valley. They are long enough for an eight-car train.
Whilst the station does have a ticket office, this is currently only staffed during the mornings Monday to Saturday with no Sunday opening despite trains operating. There was a modern self-service ticket machine outside the station building. There are no disabled access facilities available at the station despite being a new station, with only stair access to/from both sets of platforms. At present, it appears that South West Trains have no plans to rectify this.

“I have always found that when men have exhausted their own resources, they fall back on the intentions of the Creator. But their platitudes have ceased to have any influence with those women who believe they have the same facilities for communication with the Divine mind as men have.”
