Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:
“Because one has little fear of shocking vanity in Italy, people adopt an intimate tone very quickly and discuss personal things.”
—Stendhal [Marie Henri Beyle] (17831842)
“Never in my life have I met anyone who did not agree that Emerson is an inspiring writer. In our day he would be muzzled, I am certain.”
—Henry Miller (18911980)
