Westfield Innaloo - Transport

Transport

Westfield Innaloo is served by several bus routes from Stirling railway station, including routes 412 and 413 as well as the 98/99 CircleRoute.

Until 1992, Innaloo Bus Station on Oswald Street was the terminus for most routes which now terminate at Stirling. When the Stirling Railway station was built, the 419 bus was instituted as a regular shuttle service between Stirling and Innaloo. This route has now effectively been replaced by the CircleRoute.

Prior to the construction of the Stirling railway station as part of the Northern Suburbs Transit System, a possible deviation of the rail alignment was considered to directly service the suburb of Innaloo and its shopping district, of which Westfield Innaloo is a part. However, this idea was rejected by both the project and the public at large due to the significant cost, lack of identifiable benefits, and environmental impact grounds.

Famous quotes containing the word transport:

One may disavow and disclaim vices that surprise us, and whereto our passions transport us; but those which by long habits are rooted in a strong and ... powerful will are not subject to contradiction. Repentance is but a denying of our will, and an opposition of our fantasies.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)
