WCW Light Heavyweight Championship
The WCW Light Heavyweight Championship was a short-lived title that lasted from 1991 until 1992 in World Championship Wrestling. It was a title used for the cruiserweights that preceded the WCW Cruiserweight Championship by a few years. The Cruiserweight Championship, used to replace the Light Heavyweight Championship in 1996, later became a WWE championship. WWE recognizes former WCW World Light Heavyweight Champions as former WCW/WWE Cruiserweight Champions. The title is challenge by light heavyweights at a maximum weight of 236 lb.
