Water Fluoridation - Evidence Basis

Evidence Basis

Existing evidence strongly suggests that water fluoridation reduces tooth decay. There is also consistent evidence that it causes dental fluorosis, most of which is mild and not usually of aesthetic concern. There is no clear evidence of other adverse effects. With regards to potential adverse effects, almost all research has been of low quality.

Famous quotes containing the words evidence and/or basis:

No doubt Jews are most obnoxious creatures. Any competent historian or psychoanalyst can bring a mass of incontrovertible evidence to prove that it would have been better for the world if the Jews had never existed. But I, as an Irishman, can, with patriotic relish, demonstrate the same of the English. Also of the Irish.... We all live in glass houses. Is it wise to throw stones at the Jews? Is it wise to throw stones at all?
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

Had we not loved ourselves at all, we could never have been obliged to love anything. So that self-love is the basis of all love.
    Thomas Traherne (1636–1674)
