Characters
Corneil: a talking dog. He is able to talk due to his 250 IQ. He is watched over by high school senior, Bernie. Sometimes Corneil will get Bernie in trouble. When something bad happens to Bernie, it's usually Corneils fault.
Bernie: Corneil's dog sitter. He is a high school student and is always getting detention because of Corneil's actions. He cares for Corneil when he is missing or in danger. Bernie is lazy and miserable because he is a bit unpopular and lives with his uncle.
John and Beth: are Corneil's rich owners. They leave Bernie as a "dogsitter" to watch over Corneil. They really love Corneil. They are also very nice which once got on Corneil's nerves. They work as salespeople and they sometimes welcome celebrities into their home.
Uncle Rico: is Bernie's Uncle and lives with him in the same apartment building as Corneil and his owners. He works as a janitor for the building. Uncle Rico never got his high school diploma, but the Principal at Bernie's school tutors Uncle Rico so he'll finally get a diploma. Nobody knows what happened to Bernie's parents.

Famous quotes containing the word characters:
“A criminal trial is like a Russian novel: it starts with exasperating slowness as the characters are introduced to a jury, then there are complications in the form of minor witnesses, the protagonist finally appears and contradictions arise to produce drama, and finally as both jury and spectators grow weary and confused the pace quickens, reaching its climax in passionate final argument.”
—Clifford Irving (b. 1930)
“Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.”
—Dylan Thomas (19141953)
“Thus we may define the real as that whose characters are independent of what anybody may think them to be.”
—Charles Sanders Peirce (18391914)
