Market Efficiency Improvements
The improvements to market efficiency emerge as the prices in the DA and RT markets tend to converge. This makes pricing less volatile and this decrease, albeit small, is the benefit. Prices will not converge completely as there will still be stochastic differences that were not foreseen between DA and RT, but the narrowing of the price spread leads to greater predictability.

Famous quotes containing the words market, efficiency and/or improvements:
“To market tis our destiny to go.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Nothing comes to pass in nature, which can be set down to a flaw therein; for nature is always the same and everywhere one and the same in her efficiency and power of action; that is, natures laws and ordinances whereby all things come to pass and change from one form to another, are everywhere and always; so that there should be one and the same method of understanding the nature of all things whatsoever, namely, through natures universal laws and rules.”
—Baruch (Benedict)
“The improvements of ages have had but little influence on the essential laws of mans existence: as our skeletons, probably, are not to be distinguished from those of our ancestors.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
