Private Life
His son Svend Carl, born in 1862, was a promising landscape and interiors painter bit died in 1890. His wife died in 1894. He received the bronze medallion at the Paris Exhibition of 1900. He died in Frederiksberg on 11 May 1903 at the age of 84.
