Varangaon

Once a small village in the Jalgaon distrcit of Maharashtra, India, the town of Varangaon is growing fast. Located 12 km east of Bhusawal, it is a main junction and the divisional headquarters of Central Railway. Although still served by a Gram-Panchayat, the population of Varangaon has passed 20,000. The Ordnance Factory Varangaon of the Ordnance Factories Board which maufactures products for the Indian Armed Forces is located nearby and the Mumbai–Nagpur national highway (NH6), which passes by Varangaon, has turned the village into a town. There is a railway station where few trains stop, puts Varangaon on the main Mumbai–Howrah rail route.
