Uttoxeter

Uttoxeter (i/juːˈtɒksɨtər/ yew-TOKS-i-tər) is a historic market town and civil parish in Staffordshire, in the West Midlands region of England. The population of the town is increasing. At the 1991 census the population was given as 10,329, with a 16.4% increase by the 2001 census when the population was 12,023. It is likely that this figure will increase further, as the population of East Staffordshire as a whole is predicted to increase by some 11% between 2008 and 2028.

Uttoxeter lies close to the River Dove in the Borough of East Staffordshire, and is near the cities of Stoke-on-Trent, Derby and Lichfield. It is twinned with Raisdorf in Germany and Fumel in France.
