Student Communities
There are several academic, cultural and athletic groups active in all islands/university units.
- IEEE Student Branch University of Aegean - the university's student branch of IEEE Greece (Region 8), established in 2000, based in Samos island.
- AIESEC Aegean - the university branch of AIESEC Greece, based in Chios island.
- MyAegean - a non-for-profit student portal for the university community, expanded to include also people from outside of the institution, originated in 2002, based in Syros island.
- Xoros - a non-commercial campus radio, established in 1996, based in Samos island.
