Degrees Offered
The Health Science Center offers the degrees of Bachelor of Science (in certain fields), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master of Science (MS), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D). Additional combined degree programs, such as DNP/Ph.D, MD/Ph.D, and Pharm.D/Ph.D are also offered.
For medical school graduates, the office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) oversees 55 different residency programs & fellowships on the UTHSC campus. The UT GME Program is statewide with approximately 900 residents training in participating hospitals located in Chattanooga, Jackson, Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville.
