The United Civic Party of Belarus (Russian: Объединенная гражданская партия, Belarusian: Аб'ядна́ная грамадзя́нская па́ртыя Белару́сі, Abjadnanaja hramadzianskaja partyja Biełarusi) is a centre-right, liberal-conservative party in Belarus. The party opposes the government of Alexander Lukashenko, generally participates in the country's elections, but doesn't have a single member in parliament. It claims its lack of seats is due to the unfairness of the election process, a claim to which international election monitors have lent some credence.

Famous quotes containing the words united, civic and/or party:
“Toil and pleasure, dissimilar in nature, are nevertheless united by a certain natural bond.”
—Titus Livius (Livy)
“But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.”
—Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
“This Party is a moral crusade or it is nothing.”
—Harold Wilson, Lord Riveaulx (19161995)
