Other Inland Waterways in Britain
The Environment Agency is the navigation authority for the non-tidal River Thames, rivers in the Fens and East Anglia and some other waterways, while the Port of London Authority is responsible for the tidal section of the River Thames. The Norfolk Broads are the responsibility of the Broads Authority. The River Cam, Basingstoke Canal, Manchester Ship Canal, and Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation were also outside the jurisdiction of British Waterways.
