| Who has sex with whom in the Trapped in the Closet world |
||
The song generally follows a storyline which continues through all the chapters. Kelly plays the role of the song's protagonist, Sylvester, who wakes up after a one-night stand with a woman. As he prepares to leave, however, the woman begs him to hide in a closet, as her husband is coming into the room, explaining the origin of the song's title. This sets off a series of events, which reveals a greater string of lies, sex, and deceit.

Famous quotes containing the word plot:
“The plot was most interesting. It belonged to no particular age, people, or country, and was perhaps the more delightful on that account, as nobodys previous information could afford the remotest glimmering of what would ever come of it.”
—Charles Dickens (18121870)
“Jamess great gift, of course, was his ability to tell a plot in shimmering detail with such delicacy of treatment and such fine aloofnessthat is, reluctance to engage in any direct grappling with what, in the play or story, had actually taken placeMthat his listeners often did not, in the end, know what had, to put it in another way, gone on.”
—James Thurber (18941961)
“Those blessed structures, plot and rhyme
why are they no help to me now
I want to make
something imagined, not recalled?”
—Robert Lowell (19171977)
