The TNA Television Championship is a professional wrestling championship owned by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion. It was introduced on the October 23, 2008 episode of TNA's television program TNA Impact! as the "TNA Legends Championship". It since has been known as the "TNA Global Championship" and its current name the "TNA Television Championship".
As a professional wrestling championship, it is won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline. All title changes have occurred at TNA-promoted events thus far. There have been a total of sixteen reigns among twelve wrestlers. The first champion was Booker T. The current champion is Abyss, who is in his second reign.

Famous quotes containing the word television:
“His [O.J. Simpsons] supporters lined the freeway to cheer him on Friday and commentators talked about his tragedy. Did those people see the photographs of the crime scene and the great blackening pools of blood seeping into the sidewalk? Did battered women watch all this on television and realize more vividly than ever before that their lives were cheap and their pain inconsequential?”
