Tmesis

Tmesis ( /ˈmiːsɨs/ or /təˈmiːsɨs/; Ancient Greek: τμῆσις tmēsis, "a cutting" < τέμνω temnō, "I cut") is a linguistic phenomenon in which a word or set phrase is separated into two parts, with other words occurring between them.
