Theodora (wife Of Justinian I)

Theodora I (Greek: Θεοδώρα) (c. 500 – 28 June 548), was empress of the Roman (Byzantine) Empire and the wife of Emperor Justinian I. Like her husband, she is a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church, commemorated on 14 November. She is also a Saint among the Miaphysite or Oriental Orthodox. Theodora is perhaps the most influential and powerful woman in the Roman Empire's history. Some sources even mention her as empress regnant with Justinian I as her co-regent.
