The People's Chip

The People's Chip is a potato chip flavour discovered and advocated by Australian radio comedy duo Hamish & Andy. The flavour is gravy, derived from roast beef. 60,495 packets of the chips were manufactured by The Smith's Snackfood Company and given away in a promotional exercise. Retail chip packets of this flavour were manufactured and went on sale on 11 August 2008 in Australia for a trial period of two weeks.

Famous quotes containing the words the people, people and/or chip:

I am persuaded that the people of the world have no grievances, one against the other. The hopes and desires of a man who tills the soil are about the same whether he lives on the banks of the Colorado or on the banks of the Danube.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

Take a red book called TELEPHONE,
size eight by four. There it sits.
My red book, name, address and number.
These are all people that I somehow own.
Yet some of these names are counterfeit.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

Look Johnny, Spig just joined the Navy. I’m married to it. I run the mess hall. I swab the deck. I chip the rust. You’re afraid that they’ll kick Spig out of the Navy. I’m afraid that they won’t.
