"The Canine Mutiny" is the twentieth episode of The Simpsons' eighth season, which originally aired April 13, 1997. It was written by Ron Hauge and directed by Dominic Polcino. It guest stars voice actor Frank Welker as Laddie, a parody of Lassie. The episode's title references the novel The Caine Mutiny.
