The 3D Gamemaker - Criticism

Criticism

The 3D Gamemaker is known by The Game Creators Community as a bad choice for most users, as it has poor-quality models, and is not very customizable. It is recommended for children that just want to see something work. Its successors, FPS Creator and FPS Creator X10, are much like it, considering that in The 3D Gamemaker, you can only shoot or jump on an enemy, which is similar to an FPS.

There is also criticism over (mainly in the lite version, due to it being more limited) the idea of the games made with the program being made from a series of readily fabricated material, and not made by the user of the program.

Famous quotes containing the word criticism:

The aim of all commentary on art now should be to make works of art—and, by analogy, our own experience—more, rather than less, real to us. The function of criticism should be to show how it is what it is, even that it is what it is, rather than to show what it means.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

It is ... pathetic to observe the complete lack of imagination on the part of certain employers and men and women of the upper-income levels, equally devoid of experience, equally glib with their criticism ... directed against workers, labor leaders, and other villains and personal devils who are the objects of their dart-throwing. Who doesn’t know the wealthy woman who fulminates against the “idle” workers who just won’t get out and hunt jobs?
    Mary Barnett Gilson (1877–?)

A friend of mine spoke of books that are dedicated like this: “To my wife, by whose helpful criticism ...” and so on. He said the dedication should really read: “To my wife. If it had not been for her continual criticism and persistent nagging doubt as to my ability, this book would have appeared in Harper’s instead of The Hardware Age.”
    Brenda Ueland (1891–1985)
