Hooker and Romano's radio call sign for their "black and white" was "4-Adam-30", and radio calls were very similar to those of Los Angeles Police Department, using three bursts of a 900 Hz tone, using LAPD-type radio codes, and the officers acknowledging with roger. Though the series itself was produced in the Los Angeles area, the setting for the series was a fictional city referred to only by the initials LC. Though the producers of the show said that when they made the show they made the initials L.C.P.D stand for Los Angeles County Police Department a fictional department instead of using the real life L.A.P.D.

Famous quotes containing the words main and/or cast:
“Sinclair Lewis is the perfect example of the false sense of time of the newspaper world.... [ellipsis in source] He was always dominated by an artificial time when he wrote Main Street.... He did not create actual human beings at any time. That is what makes it newspaper. Sinclair Lewis is the typical newspaperman and everything he says is newspaper. The difference between a thinker and a newspaperman is that a thinker enters right into things, a newspaperman is superficial.”
—Gertrude Stein (18741946)
“Like a bad doctor who has fallen down sick you are cast down, and cannot find what sort of drugs would cure your ailment.”
—Aeschylus (525456 B.C.)
