Sushmita had been going steady with Rajat Tara but broke off with him after she won the Miss Universe crown. She was said to be dating Mudassar Aziz whom she met in 2008 when she was shooting for his film Dulha Mil Gaya but started dating much later. They broke up in 2010. Sushmita Sen has also been linked to another Bollywood personality, Randeep Hooda. They had an ugly break-up in 2009 which impacted the running of film Karma Aur Holi.

Famous quotes containing the words early life, early and/or life:

Many a woman shudders ... at the terrible eclipse of those intellectual powers which in early life seemed prophetic of usefulness and happiness, hence the army of martyrs among our married and unmarried women who, not having cultivated a taste for science, art or literature, form a corps of nervous patients who make fortunes for agreeable physicians ...
    Sarah M. Grimke (1792–1873)

Love is the hardest thing in the world to write about. So simple. You’ve got to catch it through details, like the early morning sunlight hitting the gray tin of the rain spout in front of her house. The ringing of a telephone that sounds like Beethoven’s “Pastoral.” A letter scribbled on her office stationery that you carry around in your pocket because it smells of all the lilacs in Ohio.
    Billy Wilder (b. 1906)

We shall make mistakes, but they must never be mistakes which result from faintness of heart or abandonment of moral principles. I remember that my old school master Dr. Peabody said in days that seemed to us then to be secure and untroubled, he said things in life will not always run smoothly, sometimes we will be rising toward the heights and all will seem to reverse itself and start downward. The great thing to remember is that the trend of civilization itself is forever upward.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)
