Surviving Sepsis Campaign - Approach

Approach

This is done using a six-pronged approach:

  • Building awareness of sepsis
  • Improving diagnosis
  • Increasing the use of appropriate treatment
  • Educating healthcare professionals
  • Improving post-intensive care unit (ICU) care
  • Developing guidelines of care
  • Facilitating data collection for the purposes of audit and feedback (SSC Guidelines 2008)

Famous quotes containing the word approach:

F.R. Leavis’s “eat up your broccoli” approach to fiction emphasises this junkfood/wholefood dichotomy. If reading a novel—for the eighteenth century reader, the most frivolous of diversions—did not, by the middle of the twentieth century, make you a better person in some way, then you might as well flush the offending volume down the toilet, which was by far the best place for the undigested excreta of dubious nourishment.
    Angela Carter (1940–1992)

Oh! mystery of man, from what a depth
Proceed thy honours. I am lost, but see
In simple childhood something of the base
On which thy greatness stands; but this I feel,
That from thyself it comes, that thou must give,
Else never canst receive. The days gone by
Return upon me almost from the dawn
Of life: the hiding-places of man’s power
Open; I would approach them, but they close.
    William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

Genuine polemics approach a book as lovingly as a cannibal spices a baby.
    Walter Benjamin (1892–1940)
