Famous quotes containing the words college and/or career:

    When first the college rolls receive his name,
    The young enthusiast quilts his ease for fame;
    Through all his veins the fever of renown
    Burns from the strong contagion of the gown;
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)

I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. William Cobbett (1762–1835)
