History
Originally established in 1901 as Bishop's Waltham Town, the club joined the Hampshire League Division Two in 1986. In 2008 Bishop's Waltham Town and Sporting BTC merged their resources, but were unable to change their name from Sporting BTC as they had missed the deadline for name changes under the Hampshire Premier League's rules. In the summer of 2009, the club's name formerly changed to Sporting Bishops Waltham Football Club.
Sporting BTC was one of the founding members of the Hampshire Premier League 2004. In their first season, they won the league.
Bishops Waltham Town on the other hand, joined the Hampshire League in 1986. They then spent 13 years in the lower divisions, until they were promoted in the 1998/99 season to the Hampshire Premier League. After five seasons the club joined the Jewsons Wessex League in Division 2. The club finished 2nd to bottom in 2 consecutive seasons of being in the Wessex league and pulled out of the league in the middle of the 2006/07 season.
Bishops Waltham then reformed in 2007 and was one of the founding members of the newly created Hampshire Premier League (along with Sporting BTC).
In the summer of 2009, the club then acquired a local youth team, and started applying to become a Chartered Standard club.
The club has remained playing in the Hampshire Premier league.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more”
—John Adams (17351826)
