Equestrian Sports

Equestrianism had traditionally been limited to the upper-echelon of Pakistani society up until the end of the 20th century. This resulted in private sponsorship and government funding (PST) for the sport. Pakistan Eventing was launched in July 2005 in partnership with The Equestrian Federation of Pakistan (EFP) with an attempt to qualify Pakistan to its first Olympic equestrian qualification. Pakistan Eventing is not just about equestrian; it was a simple idea conceptualised by the commitment of those who supported the concept. The ultimate objective was to compete at an international level (FEI) and qualify for the Olympics.

Famous quotes containing the word sports:

I looked so much like a guy you couldn’t tell if I was a boy or a girl. I had no hair, I wore guys’ clothes, I walked like a guy ... [ellipsis in source] I didn’t do anything right except sports. I was a social dropout, but sports was a way I could be acceptable to other kids and to my family.
