Fire Dispatch
The Snyder Fire Department along with the other nine fire companies in Amherst are dispatched through a central dispatch center known as Amherst Fire Control. Amherst Fire Control also dispatches the fire companies in Clarence, Newstead and Akron.
For EMS calls, Snyder and the other fire companies in the Town of Amherst utilize Twin City Ambulance, a commercial service, for transporting patients under a contract with the various municipal entities in the Towns of Amherst and Clarence. The commercial ambulance service is dispatched simultaneously through their own dispatch to these calls to provide BLS/ILS/ALS transport to the area's local hospitals.
