History
After Henry Sy Sr. publicly listed SM Prime Holdings in 1994, the company continued to plan and operate shopping malls throughout the country. Construction of SM Southmall started in early 1994. On April 2, 1995, SM Southmall was opened, the 5th SM Supermall ever built with a floor area of 205,120 sq.m and a land area of 200,000 squre meters.
