Water

From the need of water to irrigate the mountains, dams were built, which has caused several environmental concerns in the area.

Famous quotes containing the word water:

    But sound of water over a rock
    Where the hermit-thrush sings in the pine trees
    Drip drop drip drop drop drop drop
    But there is no water
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

    The night was thick and hazy
    When the “Piccadilly Daisy”
    Carried down the crew and captain in the sea;
    And I think the water downed ‘em;
    For they never, never found ‘em,
    And I know they didn’t come ashore with me.
    Charles Edward Carryl (1841–1920)

    The favor of a drop of water should be repaid as an overflowing spring.
