Shelton Williams - The Osgood Center For International Studies

The Osgood Center For International Studies

In addition to his academic appointment at Austin College, Williams also serves as the founding President of the Osgood Center for International Studies. This organization, based in Washington, D.C, provides internship opportunities, study experiences, simulation opportunities, and special seminars for college and university students from a variety of countries and backgrounds. The center honors the contributions of the late Robert Osgood, the third Dean of the School of Advanced International Studies, who was a respected authority on international relations and former member of the staff of the United States National Security Council under Henry Kissinger.

Famous quotes containing the words center and/or studies:

Placing the extraordinary at the center of the ordinary, as realism does, is a great comfort to us stay-at-homes.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

The conduct of a man, who studies philosophy in this careless manner, is more truly sceptical than that of any one, who feeling in himself an inclination to it, is yet so over-whelm’d with doubts and scruples, as totally to reject it. A true sceptic will be diffident of his philosophical doubts, as well as of his philosophical conviction; and will never refuse any innocent satisfaction, which offers itself, upon account of either of them.
    David Hume (1711–1776)
