Safipur

Safipur is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Safipur is one of the cultured, civilized and growing town. Hari Sahran Gupta "Laala Bhaiya" is the elected Chairman of The Nagar Panchayt Safipur . Mahbir Prasad Asthana was a known freedom fighter and prominent leader. This is also one of the towns which has given an eminent scholar in the history of Hindi Literature. Babu Bhagvati Charan Verma is a known key figure of Hindi literature. Tehsil Safipur was at the time of freedom of the country had three leading lawyers -Mohammad Asghar of village Salindh (MA,LLB,LT from Aligarh University), Mahabir Asthana, and all India 100 yards sprinter Nabi Haider who won the championship in Lahore. Asghar's grand daughter and Hanif's niece Kopal Kopal is a famous Fashion Designer in New York worked for Converse and Polo Ralph Lauren.
