Sadak Arjuni is located at 21°06′N 80°09′E / 21.10°N 80.15°E / 21.10; 80.15. It has an average elevation of 256 metres (843 feet).

It is located near the Maharashtra-Chhatisgarh border on Dhule-Kolkata National Highway 6.

This is the newest tehsil in newly created Gondia district. Located 2 km off Dhule - Nagpur - Kolkata National Highway # 6. This the small but very important town in that part of the state and one of the major trade centre for paddy and "tendupatta".

It was among noted educational centre with a high school and college in this part of maharashtra even during India's pre independence days. Contributed wholeheartedly in the nation's independence struggle and is house to many freedom fighters. Sadak/arjuni is 2 km from kohmara which is located on national highway no.6.

The place is surrounded by the noted national parks of Navegaon bandh and Nagzira. Because of the dense forests, the region gets lot of rainfall during the monsoons. Paddy is the primary crop cultivated here supported by "Tuvar" and other crops. The best quality rice is grown thi this part of the state. In addition to the same it is a major centre for "tendupatta" a leaf used in making bidi". This is among the major cattle markets in the district.

The tehsil has a major population of "KUNBI's" a farmer community in the region. One of the prominent family of the area is MUNISHWAR Family (patil's or village head as per old village systems), which has had a major contribution in tehsils growth, whether it is in terms of education, agriculture or social service. Mr. Narayanrao Munishwar was a great freedom fighter from the region. Just after independence he was instrumental in spreading education movement when education was the scarce resource in the country and has nurtured the education when he was the principal of the Local High school.

Currently, the Grand and Great Grandsons from Munishwar family have taken this responsibilities and have achieved great laurels in the field of education. Sandeep Munishwar(fondly called as patil), the younger but most learned member of the family has achieved great laurels in the field of education & social services. Youngewr sibling Dr. Archana Munishwar has achieved great laurels in Medical field and renowned surgeon given by the family.

Munishwar's were migrated to the town some 400 years back during the Shivaji period fighting with the evil forces of Aurangezjeb and settled down there in the region. Since then they were very active in social work and upliftment of the people there. Many of the students of legendary freedom fighter Mr. Narayanrao Munishwar, ex Principal of local college are doing good and are making their livelihood in various fields.

The new generations of Munishwar Family are spread across the Globe yet care of their ancestral place as much as their forefathers did. Mr. Sandeep Munishwar, one of the most learned and respected personality from the region is currently based out of United States and is a highly acclaimed Management Professional consulting the top institutions/Organisations globally and in India.

Dr. Archana Munishwar is the first person from the region to achieve her MBBS and post graduate Specializations from best medical institutions in Mumbai. She is currently heading the department at the reputed medical institution in Nagpur, while offering social services to the people of the Vidarbha region and Konkan presently. Smita Munishwar has achieved great laurels in the field Online Banking Consulting while younger sibling Manjusha is a part of renowned Computer Organisation in Pune.

Ajay and Pramod Munishwar were among the first graduate engineers from the region and one of the rare gems in the field of specialised plastic manufacturing industry and engineering education.

Typically a Hindu dominated region with rich and varied culture. Apart from the major Indian festival that has been celebrated, there are few typical festivals like "pola", a festival for thanksgiving for oxen/cattle for their help in farming and "Baliraja" puja for thanking Food God are the unique festivals that has been celebrated in taluka. The beautiful surroundings of Sadak Arjuni is in its best forms during the monsoons. Lovely monsoon rains brings along the cheers to the largely farming community living there. The picturesque paddy fields between forest like plains along with the lakes, pond and rivers are thoroughly enjoyable and present the true picture of India which can be enjoyed very much in the village.

This is the time when Kin's of Munishwar family comes back to their villages from wherever they are settled otherwise and support their traditional occupations and become a homogenous part of the village traditions.

Another well known family of the town is Syed family who are residents of the town since last 6 generations. Syed family is serving the place in the field of agriculture,transportation,construction,social services,education and others. Some of well known members of the family are Dr. Syed Khalid,Software engineers Syed Jamshid, Syed Rashid and Research Scientist Syed Sajid, serving the nation and abroad(US and Gulf).

Over the years a number of families have moved in and out of Sadak Arjuni. One of these is family of Mehboob ur Rehman Khan and his six sons (Mehmood ur Rehman Khan, Habib ur Rehman Khan and others). Mehmood ur Rehman Khan's children (two sons and five daughters) trace their proud roots to Sadak Arjuni and are now settled in California U.S.A. Zia Khan is a senior scientist with defense company and a prominent community leader, writer and accomplished poet.(Khan family is also related to Syed family). Sadak Arjuni is a good market place for the villages surrounding it, since the majority of villages lay in the tribal region and surrounded by a cover of thick forest. Various small scale industries are located at Sadak Arjuni which includes rice mills, RCC pipe factory, saw mills etc. certain business family like Agarwals, Gabhane's, Parvate's are well known in the area. Bharat Cement Pipe and tiles factory is one of the small scale industry located at Sadak Arjuni founded by Vasudeo Parvate. Vasudeo Parvate was a teacher and came to Sadak Arjuni in early 60s. He had an ambition for business. Owing to this he sat up a factory which eventually increased quite a considerably having increased there number of plants (other plant is at Sindewahi). Vasudeo Parvate was accompanied by his elder son Mahadeo and third son Nandkishor in developing business. Second son Umashankar is a Maharashtra state government officer in irrigation department. Youngest son is looking after the school which Parvate family have set up for Public welfare. 'Gram Shikshan Sanstha' is the education society which they have formed and gives highest SSC board result in the Tehsil. Also the students of school represent in various state level sports. The third generation of Parvate family is doing significant progress having eldest son Shrikant Parvate working as Research Scientist in the field of Pharmaceuticals making him second scientist of the town after Sayyad Sajid Ali. Agrawal families are also doing very good business at Sadak Arjuni having owned majority of large general retail shops. Cultivation is one of major occupation of the peoples here and grow variety of crops including fruits and vegetables. Murmura (product derived from rice) of Sadak Arjuni is quite a famous and various Muslim families are running this business quite well. Medical facilities in the area are well developed having government PHC and various private Physicians and Surgons doing there practice very well, hence a lot of peoples from adjuscent are travel to here for treatment. There are two theatre available in sadak/arjuni one is ALANKAR TALKIES and second one is CHETAN VIDEO CINEMA. Mr. Pawankumar Agrawal ia a Sarpanch of Sadak/Arjuni. In Pharma Sector many student from sadak/arjuni like Chetan Sharma, MohSin Sayyed, Nikhil Langewar, are going. Sadak/arjuni also have many student which belong to engineering field name of students are Sumit Agrawal,Rupesh Sharma,etc. In the future Sadak/arjuni are well improved and well educated.
