Ruth Sawyer

Ruth Sawyer (1880–1970), was an American storyteller and award-winning author. Sawyer wrote fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. Best known as the author of Roller Skates, which received the Newbery Award in 1937, she also received the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award and the Regina Medal.
