Following their series of four games played during the fall 2012 Russia national team tops Group F with 12 points, 5 points ahead of their competitors, after winning all their games to date and having no goals conceded.
Just twelve more points in the remaining six games will be enough for Russia to qualify for the final tournament in Brazil from the top spot in Group F, provided neither Israel nor Portugal win all their six remaining games (including two games against each other and a game against Russia), e.g. when a game between these two ends in a draw, or Russia draws or wins the game against possible winner of two games between Israel and Portugal. Otherwise (i.e. when Russia loses the game against Israel or Portugal and the opponent wins all five other games) Russia is enough either to win all five other games, or to score 13 points (four wins and one draw) and achieve a goal difference better than that of the other team having the same number of points. Any loss of points by both Israel and Portugal means Russia has less points to score enough to claim the first place in Group F.

Famous quotes containing the word campaigns:
“That food has always been, and will continue to be, the basis for one of our greater snobbisms does not explain the fact that the attitude toward the food choice of others is becoming more and more heatedly exclusive until it may well turn into one of those forms of bigotry against which gallant little committees are constantly planning campaigns in the cause of justice and decency.”
—Cornelia Otis Skinner (19011979)
