Rose Bowl Aquatics Center - History

History

The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center opened in 1989 in the former site of the city's defunct Brookside Plunge. The project was funded with a $4.5-million city loan and $2 million in private donations, including a crucial final $430,000 from Pasadena neighbor, Dr. Gene Scott (w. Eugene Scott, Ph.D), who was also Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center and one of its founding directors.

    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The history of modern art is also the history of the progressive loss of art’s audience. Art has increasingly become the concern of the artist and the bafflement of the public.
