Discipleship Homes
The ROC has created and supports "discipleship homes", or residential rehab facilities for those who are drug addicted, coming out of jail, and for troubled youth. There's a home for battered women with children, or women who are homeless. These homes are free of charge, and often have a long wait time. Those who enter the discipleship program are not charged rent, but in exchange must attend church services, read the Bible, and work at the ROC's thrift stores along with other various service work services. A 12-step Christian recovery program is taught in some of these groups; however, no traditional methods such as group therapy or counseling are used.

Famous quotes containing the word homes:
“The Cairo conference ... is about a complicated web of education and employment, consumption and poverty, development and health care. It is also about whether governments will follow where women have so clearly led them, toward safe, simple and reliable choices in family planning. While Cairo crackles with conflict, in the homes of the world the orthodoxies have been duly heard, and roundly ignored.”
